Farewell Harry Potter …  Part two of the final Harry Potter movie is releasing on  July 14. No doubt, this event will motivate a new phalanx of fans to read (or re-read) the wonderful books that inspired it all.  And now you don’t have to rely on the paper version.

British author J.K. Rowling, has launched a new Harry Potter website Pottermore. The site will exclusively sell Potter e-books for the first time.  By selling directly to fans, Rowling is bypassing established online retailers like Amazon, although the creators of Pottermore say the books will be compatible with popular e-readers including Amazon’s Kindle, Sony’s Reader and Apple’s iPad.

If you’ve never read the Harry Potter series, why not give them a whirl?  The first book begins with Harry aged 11, and last when he’s 17 – and as the series progresses, the maturity of the characters and the plotlines of the books evolve and become more complicated, so they are suitable for adults and older children alike.

For me, they’re right up there with all time favourites like the Narnia series.
