Masterchef : Nadia Lim

Masterchef winner Nadia Lim’s unique take on nutrition and cooking makes her book “Nadia’s Kitchen” an excellent choice for foodies.

Half Mayalysian-Chinese, and half Pakeha, she uses her mixed heritage to create fusion-style food that’s simple and delicious. There is definitely an Asian influence, with recipes such as Ginger Miso Udon Soup, but she’s also drawn upon other cultures to create a book with an international feel. (Joanna Mathers)

Having said that, there are also plenty of recipes that will appeal to Kiwis, like Lamb Shanks with Red Wine Mushroom Barlotto or Beer Mocha Con Carne. Each recipe is photographed in full colour, and the instructions are simple and clear.
