Review: Don’t want to miss a thing / Jill Mansell

May 25, 2013

click to reserveDexter thinks he has it all as a London playboy. Molly lives in the Cotswold village of Briarwood and always seems to choose the wrong man. Fate takes a hand when, on a whim, Dexter buys a weekend cottage next door to Molly. Then Dexter’s life changes overnight when his sister dies and leaves him in charge of her eight month old daughter. Life as he knows it is over and he can no longer continue to live in London. He decides to start afresh in Briarwood and so the fun begins.
With her usual quirky way of tying in a mish mash of different characters, Jill Mansell interweaves the lives of the villagers of Briarwood with the romance of Dexter and Molly. The story has you laughing, crying and cringing (but not in that order) until she ties up all the loose ends for a happy ending.  If you like chick lit that just has to be finished in one read (no housework done again) don’t miss this one.
