Our little visitors and new library members

August 26, 2013

We’ve had lots of visits from primary school students and pre-schoolers so far this year, and we love seeing the children getting excited about the books and computers. Many of these children are now members of the library.  See South School library visit

If you want to join the library too, it’s completely free whether you’re an adult, child or teen, and it’s easy.

Adults bring in your identification (such as drivers license, passport, community services card) and proof of address like a phone bill or bank statement.  Then you just need to fill out a simple form and wallah, your card will be set up right then and there.

Kids/teens under 18 years, either bring or send your parent/caregiver along as they have to sign you up.  Your adult needs to bring ID and proof of their address, and we need to see them in person.

With your new card, you can borrow lots of lovely books, e-books, magazines, jigsaws, and audio books from the library absolutely free, and also DVDs for a small fee.
