‘The rain’ by Victoria Ripia

August 16, 2014

An entry in our poetry competition:

The Rain

I look outside the rain dimmed window

my heart is washed by the crystal mist

The warmth inside as the chimney smokes

The nature is charmed, by rains treasured kiss

The birds fly through heavy showers

awaiting for that calming hour

The mountains ahead where rivers hide

Witness the Beauty, Rain brings to life

I’m enchanted as the rain falls aside

As the sun hides,

and the clouds ride through the night

There is something enlightening

about the pure rain through winds

As you read a book

and are flown away within
